Week 1: Definitions and Immediate Impact

Objective: After this module, you'll have a better understanding of what AI is and how it works. You'll understand some key terms. Plus, you'll identify how it might impact education -- and things you can do right now to adjust.

In this module, we'll discuss ...

• Some definitions of key terms to understand about artificial intelligence
• Watch a quick demo of how powerful ChatGPT can be for teachers (as an example of AI implementation for teachers and students)
• See how AI might impact the classroom and education immediately
• Identify immediate shifts we can make in our classrooms to adapt
• Learn a simple but powerful analogy to help us stay forward-thinking

📺 Our Week 1 live video will happen the week of July 31 (time TBA). It will cover all of the above topics -- plus your questions, ideas, and insights that you share.

• It will probably last between 60 and 90 minutes.
• A video replay will be available immediately after the live stream ends. You'll have lifetime access to that video replay -- along with the rest of the course content.
• Participation in the live video broadcast is not required.
