👓 Overview of Week 3

Week 3: Responsible Use of AI

Objective: After this module, you'll identify some things to consider when it comes to using artificial intelligence responsibly and ethically. You'll learn about ways to discuss these with students and how to make your classroom reflect them.

In this module, we'll discuss ...

  • The evolving definitions of cheating and plagiarism in an AI-integrated world
  • The realities (and effectiveness) of AI detectors
  • Important distinctions to know about intellectual property
  • Questions to ask about AI for ourselves and our students
  • A real life example of reactions to AI use (with lessons to learn for ourselves)

📺 Our Week 3 live video will happen the week of August 14 (time TBA). It will cover all of the above topics -- plus your questions, ideas, and insights that you share.

  • It will probably last between 60 and 90 minutes.
  • A video replay will be available immediately after the live stream ends. You'll have lifetime access to that video replay -- along with the rest of the course content.
  • Participation in the live video broadcast is not required.
